Common dementia screening procedures: DSM-5 fulfilment and mapping to cognitive domains
نویسندگان
چکیده
Dementia is diagnosed by a specialised clinician based on the patient's cognitive abilities in different areas. Since there an ever-growing variety of medical procedures available, it can be hard to assess where each procedure fits process screening AD, and more notably, how contents these procedures, i.e. tests activities, map domains assessed during process. Therefore, this research reviews critically analyses selection common dementia such as Alzheimer's Disease Assessment Scale - Cognitive Subscale (ADAS-Cog), Clinical Rating Sum Boxes (CDR-SB), Everyday Cognition (ECog), others. More importantly, we components including tests, questions activities outlined Diagnostic Statistical Manual Mental Disorders Fifth Edition (DSM-5). We found that no covers complete specified DSM-5.

Mapping Compulsivity in the DSM-5 Obsessive Compulsive and Related Disorders: Cognitive Domains, Neural Circuitry, and Treatment
Compulsions are repetitive, stereotyped thoughts and behaviors designed to reduce harm. Growing evidence suggests that the neurocognitive mechanisms mediating behavioral inhibition (motor inhibition, cognitive inflexibility) reversal learning and habit formation (shift from goal-directed to habitual responding) contribute toward compulsive activity in a broad range of disorders. In obsessive co...

Anxiety and DSM-5
The DSM-5 process, and the publication of DSM-5 in 2013, have had a considerable impact on the classification of anxiety disorders. Major changes included the reorganization of the chapter structure, individual groupings of disorders within each chapter from a life span viewpoint, and the use of specifiers. The DSM-5 chapter on anxiety disorders does not include obsessive-compulsive disorder or...
متن کاملInvestigating Common-Item Screening Procedures in Developing a Vertical Scale
Creating a vertical scale involves several decisions on assessment designs and statistical analyses to determine the most appropriate vertical scale. This research study aims at investigating common item stability check procedures to arrive at vertical linking item sets that will produce the necessary constants for computing vertical theta (ability) estimates and scale scores on a vertical scal...

Introduction: Dementia Care Mapping (DCM) was originally developed as an observation tool to examine person-centered care in long-term care facilities and to evaluate the quality of life and well-being of people with dementia (PwD). However, the effects of a music intervention using this tool have not been investigated so far. This leads to the following research question: How does a music inte...
